The most notable feature of this update is the addition of AI-generated visual effects. In the countdown widget of the calendar, Samsung introduced an AI-based background generation function. The system automatically generates matching visual images based on the title of the user's schedule, such as transforming dull countdown cards into vivid backgrounds related to the event theme, allowing users to intuitively perceive upcoming important events through visuals.

In addition to visual upgrades, Samsung also used AI to improve the practicality of the calendar. The new version supports "natural language search," allowing users to quickly find schedules by entering vague phrases as they would in casual conversation, without needing to remember exact titles. Additionally, the app now includes features like hiding expired plans, marking reminders as completed directly within the calendar, and adding multiple photos to events, significantly enhancing the flexibility of information management.

At the same time, the Samsung Reminder app has also been optimized, with a new early warning setting allowing users to customize notification advance times more flexibly. Currently, these features are being tested on devices like Galaxy S25 with the One UI 8.5 beta version.
