On December 26, the general AI assistant Lingguang announced that its users have successfully created 12 million flash apps. Flash apps are one of the three main features of Lingguang. Users do not need any programming background; by simply describing their needs in natural language, Lingguang can generate an editable, interactive, and shareable mini-app in as little as 30 seconds. The rapid growth in the number of flash apps indicates that this product form is being quickly accepted and continuously used by ordinary users.
According to public reports, within two weeks of its launch, users had already successfully created 3.3 million flash apps. Within a month, the number grew to 12 million, reflecting the satisfaction of personalized needs in people's daily lives. For example, user Mao Qiang from Henan used Lingguang's flash app to create a "mini microphone" application for his father who had aphasia after a stroke. The elderly man could simply click large-font buttons such as "eat" or "sleep," and the phone would clearly read them aloud. Mao Qiang added more needs of other aphasic elders into this small app, finally naming it "The Mini Microphone for Grandparents."
According to the introduction, the flash apps created by users have covered major scenarios such as entertainment and companionship, life services, productivity tools, and education and self-improvement. Industry insiders believe that these usage behaviors indicate that flash apps are not only becoming a new entry point for users to customize tools and services but also further unleashing the creativity of ordinary users and amplifying the practical application value of advanced AI tools in real scenarios.
Statistical data shows that Lingguang has entered the top 10 list of AI-native apps with the highest weekly active users according to QuestMobile's 2025 rankings. Since its launch, the average daily usage frequency has reached 4.6 times per user.
